PHOENIX — A man is dead after a late-night crash in south Phoenix on Tuesday, city police said.
The crash happened just before 10 p.m. near 47th Street and Southern Avenue. According to early reports, 26-year-old Michael Ochoa was walking in the roadway outside of marked crosswalks when he was struck by a car.
Ochoa was taken to the hospital where he later died of his injuries, police said.
The driver of the car stayed on the scene of the crash, and didn't show any signs of intoxication.
Further details about the crash are still under investigation as of Thursday.
