PD: Pedestrian killed in north Phoenix crash

The crash happened just before 11 p.m. Friday night near Cave Creek and Bell roads.

PHOENIX — A man is dead after he was struck by a vehicle in north Phoenix, city police said.

The crash reportedly happened north of Cave Creek and Bell roads shortly before 11 p.m. on Friday night.

When Phoenix police officers arrived to the scene, they found an adult man suffering from serious injuries. First responders took the man to the hospital where he later died.

The driver involved in the crash stayed on scene. Detectives are still working to learn more about what led up to the collision but do not believe that impairment was a factor in the crash.

Police haven't disclosed the man's identity at this time.
