Chandler police officer involved in crash

CHANDLER, Ariz. — A crash involving a police officer is under investigation in Chandler, according to authorities.

The Chandler Police Department said the crash happened Sunday afternoon at the intersection of Pecos and Gilbert roads.

Police said travel in the area of the crash is expected to be restricted for an extended period of time.

Drivers should look for an alternative route.

There were no serious injuries in the crash, police said.
