GLENDALE, Ariz. — Two people are dead and one is seriously injured after a car crash in Glendale just after midnight on Wednesday, the city's police department said.
The crash happened at the intersection of West Bethany Home Road and North 83rd Avenue, police said.
A 22-year-old male driving a Tesla allegedly ran a stoplight at a high speed and crashed into another car, police said.
Ariyanna Alexus-Savina Parsad, 18, was driving a Toyota, with Jazmine Esperanza Marquez, 19, in the passenger seat and a 20-year-old male in the back, police said.
Marquez died at the scene and Parsad was transported to the hospital where she later died.
The male passenger in the Toyota sustained life-threatening injuries and is in critical condition. His identity has not been released.
The driver of the Tesla was also transported to a local hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
