2 dead after 3-vehicle collision near Wickenburg

Arizona Department of Public Safety troopers said there were two commercial vehicles and a pick-up truck involved at the scene on US 93.

WICKENBURG, Ariz. — Two people have died after a multi-vehicle crash happened early Monday morning on US Route 93 near Wickenburg, the Arizona Department of Public Safety (DPS) said.

The crash involved three vehicles, including a pick-up truck and two "commercial vehicles," DPS troopers said. The crash caused the closure of both the northbound and southbound lanes of the highway.

DPS said the pickup truck sideswiped the tractor-trailer, spun out of control, and was then hit by another commercial vehicle.

The driver and a passenger in the pickup were deceased at the scene. The drivers of both semis refused treatment on scene, DPS said.
