PHOENIX — A funeral procession for Peoria Police Officer Jason Judd will force the temporary closure of portions of Loop 101 and Interstate 17 on Tuesday, the Arizona Department of Transportation said.
Drivers traveling eastbound on Loop 101 in the northwest Valley and southbound on I-17 during the procession should be prepared for temporary closures and stopped traffic at times, ADOT said. Sections of closed freeways, as well as closed ramps, will be closed as the procession is going on, but will reportedly reopen as soon as possible.
A morning service will be held for Officer Judd Christ’s Church of the Valley near the intersection of West Happy Valley Road and North 67th Avenue in Peoria, ADOT said.
After the service concludes, the procession will reportedly enter eastbound Loop 101 via southbound 67th Avenue, continue from Loop 101 to southbound on I-17 and travel south of the I-10 “Stack” interchange.
The estimated time for the procession will be between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m, ADOT said.
