When officers and firefighters got to the scene of the crash, they found a man, identified as 28-year-old Edward Perez Severino, who had been seriously hurt. Severino was taken to a nearby hospital and later died.

Police said their initial investigation showed that Severino was riding his motorcycle eastbound on Central Avenue when he left the road while trying to turn left.

Two other motorcyclists told officers that they stopped after seeing Severino crash lifted him from a "depressed area" back up to the road.

No other details about the crash were released.
