PHOENIX - A man was killed in a crash at 35th Avenue and Bell Road in Phoenix Monday afternoon.
Police were at the scene investigating for hours, and the intersection is still closed.
The man was headed southbound on 35th Avenue, trying to turn left onto eastbound Bell Road, according to Phoenix police.
He was hit by a northbound vehicle and eventually smashed sideways into a pole. He died at the scene.
The other driver involved in the crash stayed at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
