PHOENIX — A pedestrian is dead following a crash in Phoenix Friday morning, police said.
Officers responded to a crash near 35th Avenue and Baseline Road around 3 a.m. for a crash involving a pedestrian and a vehicle, the Phoenix Police Department said.
After arriving on the scene, officers located a man with serious injuries. Authorities said the man was later pronounced dead at the scene.
Information on the identity of the victim or what led to the crash was not immediately known. The investigation is ongoing.
Baseline Road is closed between 35th and 39th avenues as police investigate the area.
