WINONA, Arizona — Drivers on the westbound lanes of I-10 were caught in a massive traffic jam Sunday afternoon after a deadly crash happened in Coconino County.
The crash between two cars happened east of Winona near Two Guns. As of 7 p.m., one of the lanes was reopened, but authorities warned that people should still expect delays.
Photos from ADOT showed a large backup of cars in the area.
The crash left one person dead after DPS said they may have been ejected. That victim hasn’t been identified.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
DPS said another crash between two semitrailers also happened in the area and is also partially blocking the roadway.
