CHANDLER, Ariz. — Drivers in the southeast Valley can expect delays on the freeway.
Loop 202 Santan is closed in both directions at Gilbert Road due to a police situation in the area, authorities said.
Police said that they were "attempting to assist a female in distress" but were unable to release further details.
The closure was announced shortly before 8 a.m. and is still in place as of 11 a.m. There is no estimated reopening time.
