PHOENIX — A crash along Loop 202 involving multiple cars, including an ambulance, caused major traffic delays Thursday afternoon.
Four vehicles collided around 4 p.m. on the northbound lanes of the highway near South Mountain at Buckeye Road.
At one point, nearly all lanes of traffic were blocked, but video from ADOT shows traffic flowing slowly, but the offramp remains closed.
DPS said the ambulance rolled over during the crash and the driver needed to be rescued. Authorities didn’t say if anyone else was inside.
DPS didn’t say if there were any major injuries, and it's unknown when the highway will fully reopen.
