PHOENIX — The northbound lanes of I-17 in Anthem were shut down for several hours Thursday afternoon after a deadly crash involving a USPS truck happened.
DPS said the truck crashed near Anthem Way around 3:30 p.m. and the highways reopened just before 7 p.m.
Investigators said the driver was killed after being ejected during the rollover crash, but video from Sky 12 showed the truck upright and in a grassy field
The identity of the driver hasn’t been released, and the cause of the crash is under investigation.
Traffic was backed for several miles during rush hour but is now flowing.
