Arizona state troopers tried to pull a driver over. The driver tried to flee, but crashed and has now been arrested

The crash happened near the Grant Street off-ramp on I-17 in Phoenix.

PHOENIX — A crash near the Grant Street off-ramp led to the driver being arrested, according to the Arizona Department of Public Safety

DPS told 12News that troopers tried to pull a driver over at milepost 200, which is just south of the I-17/I-10 interchange, north of Van Buren Street.  

The driver refused to pull over and tried to flee from the troopers but crashed. 

The crash caused minor injuries and the driver was arrested. 

DPS has not yet said why troopers tried to pull the driver over. 

The driver who was arrested has not been identified.
