Head-on collision in north Scottsdale sends 1 person to the hospital with serious injuries

The crash happened near 100th Street and Thompson Peak Parkway in the McDowell Mountain Ranch area of north Scottsdale. Here is the latest information.

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — One person has been taken to a trauma center with serious injuries after a head-on crash in north Scottsdale, according to the Scottsdale Fire Department. 

The department told 12News that two cars collided head-on near the intersection of 100th Street and Thompson Peak Parkway. That's near the McDowell Mountain Ranch area.  

One person is being taken by paramedics to a nearby trauma center and two other people are being treated for injuries at the scene of the crash. 

Roads are restricted in the area, so drivers should find alternate routes. 

No other details have been released and no one involved in the crash has been identified.
