PHOENIX — A Goodyear police officer was involved in a crash along Interstate 10 in Phoenix Thursday night.
The crash happened on westbound I-10 near 43rd Avenue just before 9 p.m. DPS says a marked police SUV collided with a passenger car for reasons that are still under investigation.
ADOT says the crash is blocking several lanes of traffic and the onramp.
At least one person was injured in the crash, but police did not say which car they were in.
Goodyear police say the officer was returning to the city after dropping off a suspect in jail.
DPS says the highway will be close for a short time while investigators gather evidence.
