SUN CITY, Ariz. — A man is dead after the golf cart he was driving was hit by a truck in Sun City late Thursday afternoon.
The Maricopa County Sheriff's Office said deputies were called to the scene near Stardust Boulevard and Osprey Drive just before 4 p.m.
MCSO said the victim was transferred to the hospital and died from his injuries. The driver of the truck remained on scene.
Authorities said the cause of the collision is under investigation. It's unknown at this time if speed and or impairment are factors.
The victim is not being identified at this time.
