PHOENIX — A Phoenix firefighter was hospitalized on Sunday after he was injured while treating a patient inside a moving ambulance.
The ambulance was traveling near Central Avenue and Baseline Road when the driver had to make a hard turn to avoid crashing into another car at the intersection.
The abrupt turn jostled the inside of the ambulance, and the firefighter was hurt.
He has not been identified by authorities, but the department said that he is stable.
He is still undergoing treatment.
It's unknown if the driver that nearly collided with the ambulance will face any charges.
