PHOENIX — A man is dead and another is hurt after a crash in Phoenix early Friday morning.
The crash happened shortly after 5 a.m. near 27th Street and Greenway Road, fire and medical officials said. The car caught fire after the crash but was extinguished before the flames could spread to a nearby building.
After the flames were extinguished, officials learned that 20-year-old Christian Draganov was dead inside the car, police said. Another passenger was taken to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
Police said the driver appears to have lost control as he was approaching a curve at 27th Street, resulting in the car striking multiple parked vehicles.
