PHOENIX — A pedestrian is dead following a crash in west Phoenix, police said.
Phoenix police and Phoenix fire responded to the area of 51st Avenue and McDowell Road at 9:30 p.m. Thursday for a crash involving a female pedestrian and a car. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
The driver of the car did stay at the scene to speak to officers, police said.
Police did not release the identity of the driver or the woman who died.
