PEORIA, Ariz. — A man is dead after a crash Friday night at the intersection of State Route 74 and Lake Pleasant Parkway in Peoria, a spokesperson with the Peoria Police Department said.

First responders were called to the scene just before 9 p.m. for reports of a Jeep and motorcycle crash. Investigators believe that the driver of the Jeep was turning left onto Lake Pleasant Parkway to head southbound from SR 74, and pulled out in front of the motorcycle which struck the Jeep.

The motorcycle rider, 64-year-old Daniel Crossett from Black Canyon City, was pronounced dead on the scene. The driver of the Jeep wasn't injured, police said.

Investigations are still underway, however, police found no signs of impairment and said that the crash "appears to be a tragic accident."
