PHOENIX — One person is dead following a three vehicle crash in north Phoenix on Friday evening, police said.

Phoenix police officers were called to investigate a crash at 45th Street and Greenway Road just before midnight on Jan. 26. When officers got to the scene, they found 26-year-old Jamie Trevino suffering from serious injuries related to the crash.

Phoenix Fire provided aid, but Trevino died at the scene, police said.

Detectives said Trevino was driving west on Greenway Road when he veered into oncoming traffic and hit an SUV going east. The SUV crashed into a third car as it came to a stop.

All of the occupants in the third car ran from the scene before police got there, police said. The woman driving the SUV was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and showed no signs of intoxication, police said.

Police did not release any further details regarding what led up to the crash or the identities of anyone else involved.
