GLENDALE, Ariz. — A man is dead and several others are injured after a crash that closed an intersection in Glendale, according to the city's police department.

The Glendale Police Department said the crash happened at around 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the intersection of 67th and Olive avenues. Two people were in one vehicle. One died and the other was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries, police said. The second vehicle had three people inside, an adult and two children under 15, authorities said. They were all taken to hospitals for medical care but the extent of their injuries is unknown.
A cause of the crash was not given.
Drivers should seek alternative routes as investigators are expected to be at the scene overnight.
