PHOENIX — Two children were thrown from a car during a crash in west Phoenix and are expected to be okay, according to Phoenix Police.
Police say the accident happened at the intersection of 35th and Sweetwater Avenues around 10:45 a.m. on Saturday. That's a half-mile north of Cactus Road and about a mile west of Interstate 17.
Police say the two children were both ejected from the same car. After officers found the children, they were taken to a nearby hospital.
Their injuries are non-life threatening and both of them are expected to fully recover, according to Police.
Both drivers remained at the scene of the crash, but what led up to the crash is still under investigation.
This is a developing story and more details will be added as they are made available.
