PHOENIX — Authorities say traffic delays may be expected on the Loop 101 freeway near 75th Avenue after a semi-truck struck multiple cars.
The Arizona Department of Public Safety said a tire on the truck blew out, causing the driver to lose control on the freeway and hit several vehicles. At least two cars overturned from the collision.
One of the cars wrapped around a pole positioned along the freeway's barrier.
The incident caused traffic delays on the freeway in both directions Thursday afternoon before the lanes reopened.
DPS said only minor injuries had been reported from the incident.
