PHOENIX — A car crashed into a store in north Phoenix early Sunday morning, the city's police said.
Phoenix police officers responded to the area of 51st Avenue and Bell Road in regards to a single-vehicle crash into a nearby business. When officers got to the scene, they found a woman, who was later identified as 32-year-old Alexandria Montgomery and the driver of the vehicle, and a passenger.
Police said no one was seriously injured in the crash and Montgomery was arrested and processed for a DUI. Montgomery was then issued a citation in lieu of detention, police said, and was released from custody once the DUI processing was completed. Police did not say why Montgomery was issued a citation or why she was released.
