A car in Yuma crashed into an electrical pole.

YUMA, Ariz. — A Dodge Charger was suspended on the wires of an electrical pole in Yuma Saturday morning, authorities said.

The City of Yuma Public Safety Dispatch Center received multiple calls of a car suspended on wires just before 9 a.m. on Jan. 20. A technical rescue response was initiated and YFD units located the car, a Dodge Charger, suspended on the tensioned cables of an electrical pole, authorities said.

Both people in the car were able to get out of the car before crews arrived at the scene and were evaluated by paramedics, authorities said.

The car was still running in reverse, but none of the tires were in contact with the ground, authorities said. Responders stabilized the vehicle and remove it from the cables.

The City of Yuma Fire Department did not release any further information about the two people in the car or how the car became suspended on the wires.
