PHOENIX — A woman and her young child were hospitalized after being struck by a car in north Phoenix on Thursday night, according to Phoenix police.
Police said officers were dispatched to the intersection of Tatum Boulevard and Cactus Road around 7 p.m. for reports of a crash nearby.
When officers arrived, they found the woman and her child both suffering from what police describe as non-life-threatening injuries.
The cause of the crash is under investigation. Authorities said impairment does not appear to be a factor.
*Editors note: The Phoenix Fire Department originally identified the adult victim as a male. Phoenix police later clarified the victim was female.
