PHOENIX — A teen girl is dead and two other people are in the hospital following a crash near 40th Street and Osborn Road early Sunday morning, police said.
Police have identified the teen who died at Amalia Judiscak, 17.
"Early information indicates Amalia was going north on 40th Street in the southbound lanes when she collided with another vehicle," according to police.
Phoenix police were called to the two-vehicle collision to find three people injured.
The teenage girl driving one of the cars was taken to the hospital where she later died of her injuries.
The driver and passenger of the other vehicle were both taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police said a postmortem blood analysis will be used to determine if impairment was a factor in the crash.
