2 kids in critical condition after rollover crash on Loop 202, firefighters say

ADOT says the southbound lanes of Loop 202 near Lower Buckeye Road are closed and there is no estimated time to reopen the road

PHOENIX — Four people, including two children, were rushed to the hospital Tuesday night after a rollover crash on Loop 202, officials say.

The Arizona Department of Transportation says the southbound lanes of Loop 202 near Lower Buckeye Road are closed and there is no estimated time to reopen the road. ADOT officials say commuters must exit at or before Broadway Road.

The Phoenix Fire Department says firefighters were dispatched to a Circle K near 43rd Avenue and Thomas Road for reports of a crash.

Firefighters say when crews arrived, the family said they were involved in a vehicle rollover off Loop 202 and Buckeye Road and that a citizen picked them up and drove them to the convenience store.

Fire crews say that two children are in critical condition.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
