PHOENIX — Two people were injured after being hit by a car in central Phoenix.
Phoenix first responders got the call about the crash, which happened near 44th Street and Osborn Road, just before 6:40 p.m. Wednesday.
Officers arrived at the scene to find a man and woman on the ground, officials with the Phoenix police department said. Both were treated at the scene then taken to a nearby hospital with critical injuries, officials said.
The woman later passed away, police said.
The driver of the vehicle stayed at the scene and showed no signs of impairment, Phoenix police officials said.
