BUCKEYE, Ariz. — Two people were killed Friday afternoon in a vehicle collision on State Route 85 south of Buckeye, officials said.
The two-vehicle collision occurred near milepost 141 and resulted in two fatalities, according to the Arizona Department of Public Safety.
One of the involved vehicles may have had a tire blowout before rolling over, DPS said. Identities of the deceased have not been disclosed.
Traffic along the southbound lanes of SR-85 was briefly restricted as officials investigated the crash but the lanes have recently reopened.
