Teen killed in Phoenix crash Monday morning

Police said Isaiah Soto was transported to the hospital where he later died from his injuries.

PHOENIX — Authorities are working to determine what caused a crash that killed a 17-year-old boy near 33rd Avenue and Indian School Road Monday morning.

Phoenix police said when officers arrived on scene, they found 17-year-old Isaiah Soto unresponsive inside a gray passenger car.  

Police said Soto was transported to the hospital and later died from his injuries. 

A second vehicle involved in the collision was also found in the roadway. The driver, an adult female, was transported with serious but non-life-threatening injuries, police said. 

Authorities said they are gathering evidence and interviewing witnesses to determine what caused the collision.

Individuals who submit tips that lead to an arrest or indictment in the case can get a reward of up to $1,000.
