YAVAPAI COUNTY, Ariz. — State officials are working to identify an orange substance that's been recently found pooling up in areas south of Prescott.
The Arizona Department of Environmental Quality advised residents living around the community of Walker to stay away from the orange liquid and soils.
The substance was detected earlier this week near Sheldon Road and Midnight Snap Lane.
Due to the recent rainfall, ADEQ said this orange liquid may start to surface in other nearby regions of Yavapai County.
Anyone who comes into contact with the substance and starts feeling sick is instructed to consult a doctor as a precautionary measure.
