Shaun White made it look easy in PyeongChang and his 3rd Olympic gold medal marked a historic milestone for Team USA at the Winter Olympics.
After Chloe Kim's dominant performance in the women's snowboard halfpipe won Team USA its third gold medal of the PyeongChang Olympics, White followed suit in the men's competition and grabbed the team's 4th of the games.
Kim's first (of many, probably) gold medal just happened to be the 99th gold medal for the United States at the Winter Olympics. And White's dominate performance allowed Team USA to officially reach 100 gold medals in its Winter Olympics history.
After a disappointing finish in Sochi four years ago, White found his redemption with a big first run and a spectacular final run that put him atop the podium.
With the gold came other accolades, White is the first three-time Olympic champion snowboarder and he's now the first American man to win the same individual event three times at three different Winter Olympics.
