SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — A set of twins who swim in Scottsdale are keeping a close eye on the Olympics this year as they have goals to compete in The Games one day.
The love of the water runs in Mik Schwickert and Mona Schwickert's family.
Their older siblings each inspiring the 15-year-olds to begin their journey in their respective styles years ago.

Mona began artistic swimming at 4 years old. Now, she spends three hours a day in the pool practicing.
But the discipline doesn't take away the creativity Mona finds in artistic swimming.
"I like how you can swim to music and you can choreograph your own moves and make it your own," Mona said.
Mik has been diving for eight years following his older brother's lead.
"He's been around a long time and we've been all over the world together so far," Josh Rusboldt, head coach at Clavadistas del Sol, said. "It's been fun, he's a good diver."
"I have a lot of determination for that sport and that really keeps me going," Mik said.
The determination has earned Mik and Mona national and international medals at competitions in their respective styles.
Around their training and competition, the two complete their school work through ASU Prep Digital.
"They have the entire semester mapped out," Mik said. "So I have, like, a competition, I can pre-work that school so that I'm all caught up when I come back from that competition. And since it's so flexible, it can work around my training time."
This month their attention is turning to the Olympics. USA Artistic Swimming is going for the first time since 2008.
"I know they've trained really hard to get there and I hope I can too," Mona said.
For now, they're working on their talent in Scottsdale with the hopes of taking it to Olympic pools in 2028.
"Everyone's goal is to get to the Olympics. Mine is too," Mik said. "But diving for college for a good dive team is also one of my top goals."
