It’s been 20 years since the Magnificent Seven squad won the first-ever gold medal for the U.S. in the women’s gymnastics team competition.
The legendary team brought the anniversary celebration to Rio as they root on Team USA.
Shannon Miller, who was part of the Magnificent Seven in the 1996 Atlanta games, is still the most decorated gymnast in U.S. history with a combined total of 16 World Championships and Olympic medals.
In the interview, Miller told Team 12’s Krystle Henderson that being in Rio is bringing back a lot of memories and she feels like she’s reliving many of her experiences by watching the talented Team USA gymnasts compete.
She’s so impressed with Simone Biles’ level of difficulty and consistency that she says she just might be the best ever.
