PARIS, France — Former University of Arizona basketball star Chase Budinger is stepping off the hardwood and into the sand as he competes in beach volleyball during the 2024 Paris Olympics.
And so far he is off to a hot start.
Budinger and his beach volleyball teammate Miles Evans competed against France in their Pool F matchup and came away with a 2-0 win. It was a good opening for the preliminary round.
According to Olympics.com, Budinger will be the first person to play in both the NBA and volleyball at the Olympics. Looks like Budinger and Evans are well on their way for a good showing in the sand this year.
We will continue to watch the team represent Team USA as the Olympics continue.

After his college career, Budinger was selected 44th overall in the 2009 NBA Draft by the Detroit Pistons and had a seven-year career in the association before playing volleyball.
