PHOENIX — "What a beautiful sunny day sweepin' the clouds away..." in Paris! Yes, while Sesame Street might still be in the United States, the beloved characters have gone across the Atlantic to cheer on Team USA.
Elmo and his friends Abby Cadabby and Cookie Monster were seen on the TODAY show, making cookie-inspired medals and showing off their Team USA gear.
Elmo said he is most looking forward to "everything" at his very first Olympic Games, especially swimming and Katie Ledecky.
"Elmo heard that Mr. LeBron and Mr. Steph said Elmo could be a part of the basketball," Elmo told the anchors.
And their enthusiasm doesn't stop there. The whole Sesame Street neighborhood has taken to social media to post about their favorite Olympic moments.
