Here's some of what they had to say

Tiffany Wilhelmsen:

"I will always remember going to games with my dad growing up. Sometimes he would pick me up from school, and ask if I wanted to go to a game. We would run by the house so I could grab my jersey and head out. We would go to about 11 games a season. He passed away in 2010. Losing the Coyotes hurts for multiple reasons."

Teresa Forcine:

"So many memories with the Coyotes. The best is when my son gets to meet the players he looks up to."

Suzi Kaiser:

"I've been a Coyotes fan for half of my life. I used to watch the games from my home in Indiana after I put the kids to bed.

In 2012 I met my husband on a trip out here to watch a game. Now we have been married for 10 years and I live in Chandler. Being a fan of this team is part of who I am.

My CoyoteQ license plates from Indiana, Virginia, and Arizona hang in my garage. I have attended Coyotes games in St. Louis, Nashville, Columbus, Las Vegas, Phoenix, Glendale and Tempe.

My greatest joy as a fan was attending the White-Out playoff game during the 2012 playoff run. Nothing can explain the electricity and energy of the white-out."

Josh Littell:

"So many memories. From going to the event where they named the team. Going to as many games as I could. Getting a chance to ride on the Zamboni during intermission between the coyotes and Avs. Attending a whiteout. Going to the carnivals getting a chance to meet all the players. Meeting Wayne Gretzky after a game and having him sign my jersey.

I’ve been gone from AZ for 20 (years) now but still rooted for them in upstate NY. Met a few other coyote fans up here as well."

Chris Kyser:

"I have been Keller’s chef for the past 4 seasons. I’ve gotten to know the guys so well and have experienced so many of them grow and become great players.

I will miss this team and the players I now call friends. This move hurts and it’s so unfortunate I loved my time with him and I wish the guys nothing but the best."

Marie Caldwell:

"Fun time with my daughter!!! We are heartbroken they are leaving"

Darren Michael:

"Honestly, I worked at that arena. I've been in the club house, Ive been in the restaurant across from the club house, and on all levels except the catwalk. I was on the 2nd floor at Westgate in their offices before they moved to the arena from the CEO's office to the copy room.

It was great, I've talked to the players, and the boss's. I was just a low level employee at the time many yrs ago & it was really cool to be able to see all that and experience it. I even was in the control room and hit the howl button when a coworker was crossing the iceless playing field in a dark arena and laughed to loud when it scared him.

I dont think anyone of my original crew is left there, but I still am friends with my ex lead. It's sad that the yotes are leaving, but I'm sure where ever they go they will be excepted more than they ever were here."

Tatiana Wilson:

"Some of the absolute best memories I have with my dad are from going to games with him.. He’s the reason I am a Coyotes fan."

Nicholas Schlittenhart:

"Honestly it's a shame. Hockey is my favorite sport to watch live. We just have to many fairweather/bandwagon fans here in AZ. I truly hope and pray we get a stadium built for a new expansion team within the 5 year window."

Ryan Miles:

"Originally from AZ, drove from North Dakota to Calgary to watch the Yotes play on Sunday night. I have been a fan since they came to Arizona!!!"

Kristin Venable:

"So many memories, from opening night at AWA to the whiteouts...winning a NYE game against the Oilers when Yandle scored with only like 6 seconds to go in OT.....sad to see them go"

Bryan-Sara Evans:

"Well I got a good playoff story. In 2012, The Coyotes got into the conference finals that year, but a special Coyotes moment was the 1st game of the semi-finals against the Predators. My best friend Kari surprised me with an early birthday present by taking me to that game.

Mind ya I haven't been to playoff game since 1994 (Suns game). It was an awesome game with incredible goals by RV(Vrbata) Klesa, Mik(Boeker) especially in the end when Ray Whitney scored the winner in OT and I lost my voice that night. Sadly my best friend unexpectedly past away in July 3 years ago. It will always be a treasured moment for me as a Coyotes fan. Will miss this team especially Keller, Josh Doan, Macceli, Cooley, Schmaltz and others."

Rebecca Curless

“We got to know the team in Glendale, went to a lot of games, and I just fell in love with hockey and I am going to miss it, I am going to miss it.”

Aaron Azbill

“They were the first team I fell in love with, really fell in love with. It came out in the desert, never thought it would happen and it’s been great. It’s sad they’re leaving but at least I got to experience it and my kids did as well.

Being here for the last game is sad but at least I am here to experience a part of history.”

Melissa Andrews

“This was my happy place…excuse me…This is what I lived for…You have a bad day you come to the hockey rink…this was our place to be, to be ourselves, can be loud, obnoxious, have a good time…and we’ve been here for so long, this is our normal and they took it away from us real quick.

Just sad really…It hasn’t hit me yet but as a long time season ticket member, it’s really sad and heartbreaking and devastating and didn’t expect this and it came out of nowhere….We are here for the team and the boys and that’s all the best we can do right now.”

Christopher Canfield

“It’s a fan base that’s been here through thick and thin. You can’t call us fair weather, that’s for sure. We are here till the bitter end.”

Former player Shane Doan is part of what makes the team as beloved in the Valley as they are.
