LAS VEGAS — Super Bowl 58 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas has been one for the ages.
After four quarters of intense action, the San Francisco 49ers and Kansas City Chiefs are heading into overtime tied at 19.
What's on the line? For Kansas City, it's the chance to become back-to-back Super Bowl champs, which has only been done nine times before in NFL history. For San Francisco, it's the chance to win their first Super Bowl since 1995.
But how rare is overtime in the Super Bowl? It turns out, extremely.
Only one other Super Bowl has ever gone into overtime in the 58-year history of game. That Super Bowl 51 in 2017. That game is famous as it featured the New England Patriots' 28-34 comeback to beat the Atlanta Falcons.
