The NFL doesn't really know what a catch is.
The "catch rule", so to speak, has been the center of many a bar argument and instant replay challenge in recent years.
This past week, the NFL released an updated rule book, and looked to clarify what a catch really is.
The problem?
They made it worse.

In essence, the NFL tried to clarify what a 'football move' is.
It's now defined as:
A player has the ball long enough to become a runner when, after his second foot is on the ground, he is capable of avoiding or warding off impeding contact of an opponent, tucking the ball away, turning up field, or taking additional steps.
That makes sense right?
