David Johnson okay with BA's tough love

Arians called out his running back this week, and Johnson is okay with that.

TEMPE, Ariz. - The Arizona Cardinals beat Tampa Bay 40-7 last Sunday.

The Cardinals racked up 416 yards offensively.

Running back David Johnson ran for 45 yards and lead the team in receiving, catching three passes for 98 yards.

You wouldn't know that though listening to head coach Bruce Arians.

"We left at least 120 yards and two touchdowns out there just on mental errors by David Johnson," said Arians on Monday.

Johnson is okay with the tough love though.

"It lets me know that I didn't have a game that a lot of fans, family thought I did. There's stuff I definitely have to correct out there," said the running back.

"Everyone thought I had a great game," said Johnson with a smile. "I'm kind of down on myself and they did not understand why."

Johnson is quickly becoming one of the best all-around running backs in the league.

But that certainly doesn't make him immune to being called out by his head coach.
