GLENDALE, Ariz. — Rise up Red Sea! It is almost game day. Are you ready for the Cardinals to take on their division rival, the Los Angeles Rams at State Farm Stadium in Glendale?
The roof will be open for the first time this season, and that’s not the only big news – Budda Baker will play his 100th game on Sunday.
“Consistency. That's all I try to do. Ability is availability. Just try to play football the right way,” Baker said in an article on the Arizona Cardinals website. “It's definitely a blessing to be here in year seven. Blessed to be here, blessed to be an Arizona Cardinal."
The Cardinals will have Baker, as well as quarterback Kyler Murray, running back James Conner and safety Jalen Thompson on the field against the Rams, something the team did not have the last time they played Los Angeles.
After last week’s loss to the Texans, the Cardinals are looking for a victory at home. Here’s what you need to know before the game:
Honoring Girls Flag Football
After taking Arizona high school sports by storm this year, girls flag football is getting even more recognition Sunday from the Arizona Cardinals. Prior to the start of the game against the Rams, the Cardinals will welcome the players and coaches of the 2023 champions of Arizona’s two prep classifications, 5A and 6A: Campo Verde High School and Mountain View High School.
The team is also honoring the Cardinals Offensive and Defensive players of the year during the pregame ceremonies: Wide receiver Samaya Taylor-Jenkins from Hamilton High School and safety Ryland Douglas from Chandler High School.
