TEMPE, Ariz. — The Arizona Cardinals have reportedly made another move as they look to trim their roster down to 53 players.

The team traded linebacker Cameron Thomas to the reigning Super Bowl champions, the Kansas City Chiefs, according to a report from NFL Network's Ian Rapoport

The Cardinals will be getting a seventh-round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft in return for Thomas, according to Rapoport.

In two seasons with the Cardinals, Thomas played in 32 games, starting three of them, all in 2023.

He recorded 40 tackles, six tackles for loss, seven quarterback hits, three sacks and one fumble recovery, which he returned two yards for a touchdown.

The Cardinals drafted Thomas out of San Diego State with the 87th overall pick in the third round of the 2022 NFL Draft. He played high school football at Carlsbad High School in California.

The Cardinals cut six players earlier on Monday. After trading Thomas, their roster stands at 84 players.

The Cardinals must trim their roster to 53 players by 1 p.m. Arizona time on Tuesday.
