From Ivy League to the NFL: The football journey of Cardinals O.C. Drew Petzing

Cardinals offensive coordinator Drew Petzing sits down for an exclusive conversation with 12Sports’ Cameron Cox about his path from Ivy League to the NFL.

PHOENIX — He'll be the first to admit it. Arizona Cardinals Offensive Coordinator Drew Petzing doesn't strike folks as an NFL coach.

But then you talk to him and dive into his football journey, and you quickly realize he's as football as they come. Petzing is in his second season with the Cardinals and 11th in the NFL.

Last year was his first year calling plays, and despite navigating half the season without his franchise quarterback, the Cardinals offense finished fourth in the NFL in rushing.

In this episode of Here We Go!, Petzing sits down for an exclusive conversation with 12Sports’ Cameron Cox. Petzing talks about his coaching philosophy, his path from small college defensive back to the Ivy League to the NFL, learning from some of the game's greatest minds, his relationship with head coach Jonathan Gannon and working with Kyler Murray.

"Here We Go!" isn’t your typical sports show. It’s the pulse of our Valley. We’ll tell you important stories, the ones that matter. From those who inspire, the people who change lives, to the names you grew up loving.
