Kyler Murray's jersey and ball from the Rams game are going to Canton. Here's why.

The Cardinals quarterback helped beat the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday and did something that hasn't been done since 1974.

PHOENIX — Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray put on quite a show during Sunday's 41-10 win over the Los Angeles Rams.

His performance was so good, the Pro Football Hall of Fame took notice.

Mark Dalton, the Cardinals senior vice president of media relations, took to X to share some news Tuesday morning. According to Dalton, the Cardinals are sending Murray's game jersey and ball from Sunday to Canton to be displayed at the Hall of Fame.

Why might you ask?

Murray is only the second player in NFL history with 250+ passing yards, 50+ rushing yards and a perfect 158.3 passer rating. All of which Murray accomplished on Sunday. The other player to do that was Cincinnati's Ken Anderson in 1974.

Dalton shared a video and photo of the items being boxed up.

This isn't the first time Murray's memorabilia has been on display. After the Cardinals' 29-23 comeback win over the Raiders in 2022, a football used in the game was signed by Murray and put on display. In that game, Murray became the first player in NFL history to run for a touchdown, pass for a touchdown, have a two-point conversion run and two-point conversion pass.

Will Murray continue his hot performance? The Cardinals take on the Detroit Lions at State Farm Stadium in Week 3 on Sunday. Kickoff is at 1:25 p.m.
