Arizona Cardinals to start Kyler Murray or Clayton Tune vs. Browns

One day after committing to Joshua Dobbs as the Cardinals Week 9 starter, Cardinals head coach Jonathan Gannon changed his mind

TEMPE, Ariz. — There will be a new quarterback under center for the Arizona Cardinals when they take on the Cleveland Browns on Sunday in Cleveland.

One day after committing to Joshua Dobbs as Arizona's starter in Week 9, head coach Jonathan Gannon changed his mind and said Kyler Murray or Clayton Tune will be the starting quarterback.

"(I) talked to all the quarterbacks this morning, we keep ramping up Kyler and see how he progresses through the week," Gannon said. "And if it's not Kyler then it's going to be Clayton Tune. So I talked to all three quarterbacks and (I'm) on the same page with them how we're going to operate moving forward."

Dobbs had started the first eight games for the Cardinals, leading the team to a 1-7 record. He completed 167 of his 266 passes for 1,569 yards, eight touchdowns and five interceptions.

Murray has not played since last December when he tore his ACL in Week 14 against the New England Patriots on Monday Night Football.

Tune is in his first NFL appearance and has only thrown one pass, which came in Week Seven against the Seattle Seahawks on a fake punt.
