INDIANAPOLIS — Indiana sure is beautiful this time of the year. 12Sports was in the midwest for a joint practice between the Arizona Cardinals and Indianapolis Colts and they were in the middle of farm country. Seriously, right next to practices was a farm.

The setting for the training camp practices was idyllic Westfield, Indiana, about 45 minutes north of downtown Indianapolis.

Cardinals players were fired up for joint practices with the Colts. For the starters, this week is their first and only chance to hit somebody else before Week 1 in Buffalo.

After practice, 12Sports talked exclusively to Cardinals tight end Trey McBride about what it was like to go full speed against another team. See the interview below.

Some observations... The defensive backs struggled in 1-on-1s against Colts receivers but got after them during the team period.

The offense had a rough ending, but the combo of Kyler Murray to Marvin Harrison Jr. looked perfect. All eyes were on the Cardinals first-round pick. The rookie’s first NFL road trip back to the city his dad played all 13 years of his Hall of Fame career.

After practice, 12Sports also caught up with Marvin Harrison Sr. and former Cardinals and Colts running back Edgerrin James. See those interviews and more clips from practice below.
