Former USC head coach Steve Sarkisian has a job interview this week with Alabama, according to Fox Sports report.
ESPN on Sunday confirmed the Fox report.
Sarkisian will be interviewing about a potential role as a special assistant to the offense. The No. 1 Crimson Tide opened the season Saturday with a 52-6 thrashing of the team that fired Sarkisian last season.
Alabama officials declined to comment.
Sarkisian, 42, was expected to work for Fox Sports as a television analyst. Sarkisian was fired last year in his second season at USC. He sued the school for wrongful termination, alleging discrimination because of his alcoholism and breach of contract. Sarkisian and Tide offensive coordinator Lane Kiffin were co-offensive coordinators at USC under Pete Carroll.
